Someone said if my wisdom teeth are impacted it will hurt more?

Is that true, since my back teeth jams my wisdom teeth, so it will never be able to grow fully?

Not to alarm you, but impacted wisdom teeth can give you a great deal of pain.

Wisdom teeth were useful when we humans used to lose more of them growing up. Now they're usually just spares that get in the way. A lot of people don't have room for them in their jaws, and so the problem starts.

If you don't have any missing molars, perhaps you should lose them if your jaws look crowded, to prevent infections when they emerge only partially and begin to rot below the gumline.
Reply:I dont know if it will hurt more neccessarily, but its a bi*** to get them out, since they grow other than, up. I got mine taken out when I was in bootcamp, and they had to saw them into fourths, to take em out. I never had any type of pain before, but they freaking cut a nerve during my surgery. If youre not in the military, youre good to go. they pretty much use bootcampers for "study" when youre in the military.
Reply:Some people have impacted wisdom teeth. This is simply a fact of life. You can live your entire life with impacted wisdom teeth however they remove them when they are causing your teeth to become crooked or if they become painful. While some people experience temporary pain from their wisdom teeth, you should note that a great majority of the time, it can also be caused by sinus pressure and will subside after the pressure is relived
Reply:Not sure about the second part, but impacted wisdom teeth removed hurts. Make sure you go to an oral surgeon. It is well worth the extra cash. Trust me!
Reply:I had an impacted wisdom tooth. I went to the dentist because it hurt. He took that and the other two out immediately (in his lunchtime) I had 9 injections. I was so glad I only had three. Impacted wisdom teeth = not good. I hope you don't have this problem If it starts hurting go to the dentist because it won't get better on it's own. Good Luck.
Reply:It does not really hurt more. I had one tooth practically laying on its side and had it removed along with the tooth on the opposite side. Widsom teeth are not actually needed and sometimes you are better off to have them out as they can become breeding grounds for bacteria, ultimately causing pain and infection if not taken care of. Impacted, by simple terms, means basically not coming in right. Impacted teeth do not always hurt, like most people lead you to believe. They are just pretty much a pain to deal with. Having them out though, is not much of a big deal. You have three forms of anesthesia to choose from at an oral surgeon's office, and most opt for the IV sedation so that you dont really know what is going on, you sleep throughout the entire thing. When you wake up, its all over with, your mouth is full of cotton and a little while later, your being taken home. If you have all four in, its better to have it all done at once so its all over with. If they have already broke the surface, most times its an easy extraction. Sometimes, though, they are not completely through the gum and are more complicated to remove. I dont want to scare you about the removal part, but its really nothing to worry about. The top ones do not hurt as bad as the bottoms, since you have the law of gravity on your side and dont really have to worry about dry sockets. You will have some pain, dont get me wrong, but it may not be as much as you think!
