How long does it take dry sockets to go away and pain to subside after 4 wisdom teeth, impacted, was removed?

I got my wisdom teeth out two weeks this Friday. Apparently, I HAVE DRY SOCKETS AND THEY ARE KILLING ME.

HOW LONG WILL THIS PAIN LAST AND WHAT CAN MAKE IT HEAL FASTER?

You need to contact your dentist. He/She will most likely put a medicated packing in the dry sockets (painless procedure) %26amp; this will settle the problem down as long as you follow post op instructions.... no smoking, sucking thru straw, etc. I would not wait another minute to contact your dentist. Best of luck to you
Reply:Mine lasted 1-2 weeks. Make sure no straws and use that syringe....lol
Reply:Have you been back to the dentist? When I had dry sockets I had to go back every day for about a week to have medication put in them. If you do not want to go back to the dentist, the best thing to do is keep gauze in the sockets and when it clots don't rinse or suck the clots out again. Good luck...I do know that is HURTS!
Reply:man oh man i feel for you....call your dentist and let them know they should be able to help you...good luck
Reply:Make an appointment with your dentist ASAP. He/she will have treatment for dry socket. It provides relief immediately. Also, follow all the instructions they give you for after extractions.
Reply:Ouch! I can totally empathize with you! This same thing happened to me when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. If you went back to the dentist for the dry socket situation then you shouldn't be in pain anymore. When I had them, my dentist packed the sockets with medicine. This immediately made my pain stop while they healed (took about 12 days). Good luck!
Reply:Go back to the dentist. He can pack them with medication and sew it up so the pain stops.
