3.5 weeks post-impacted wisdom tooth removal?

I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed about 3.5 weeks ago and it was a very traumatic removal (I have a very small jaw). I have posted since then asking about pain, etc that has been on and off.

The pain has gone away for now it seems but I noticed today at the back of my mouth, there are these white blobs that weren't there before where there was pink gum tissue. What are those and why did they appear? Did they have something to do with the pain I was having for a couple of days late last week?

Any light you can shed on this would be great. Thanks!

eww, sounds gross. see your dentist post haste! when i had my wisdom teeth out, they were just pulled, so i don't know what to expect with post-surgery, pain wise, but white "blobs" where there was previously pink gum tissue sounds like infection. unless that's normal appearance for healing gum tissue? don't play around, call the dentist. if it's infection, there are serious ramifications if left untreated. i kid you not, sepsis can land you in the E.R. or kill you.
Reply:See a dentist!
