I am having surgery tomorrow and I'm really nervous. Can you guys help me and give me information whats it like to get your impacted bottom wisdom teeth with local anesthesia.
Can some explain to me whats it like to extract my impacted bottom wisdom teeth with local Anesthesia?
Piece of cake. I had mine out years ago, and things have improved considerably since. The procedure is nothing, you're numbed up and the teeth come out fast. The recovery is usually a little painful at first, but the mouth heals quickly. Use ice packs on your face to keep down the swelling. Eat soft, cold things like ice cream, apple sauce and yogurt. You will probably sleep alot after the procedure. In a few days, you will feel better. Take the pain medicine and take it easy. Good luck.
Reply:i had 2 of my wisdom teeth pulled out under local anesthesia years ago and i had no problem... didn't feel anything. i didn't even need to take the pain medication they prescribed after the extraction but i have heard people having pain after the procedure. the only thing i remember that i hated was the fact that i had my mouth open for quite sometime. i also had a friend who had facial bruising after the procedure.
Reply:I had my wisdom teeth out with a local. It was no problem. Especially after the pain of the impaction and all that going up and down of the teeth. It was quite a relief.
Reply:If they have it ask for nitrus oxide gas. You won't remember anything and it relaxes you. After it is removed you are back to normal in less than five minutes with now after effects.
Reply:I am NOT trying to scare you but I also had 2 widsom teeth removed and they were impacted and I was only given local anesthesia. To me it was horrible! I never went back to have the 2 other ones removed! when they are impacted they are so deep down that they have to practically dig them out! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Its been so long ago, I dont remember, but I had to have a tooth pulled that was absested and impacted, so I had the gas and s e v e r a l pain shots! i am one who has a very low pain tolerance, and I chose this dentist especially because they specialized in using the gas- They know that if they use it on ME then, I am an almost perfect little patient! I am in "Happy Land", %26amp; when they are finished, you get a couple of minutes of regular oxygen to "clear your head".
