General price for impacted wisdom teeth extraction plus 4 other molars?

I was quoted $2,800 for all 8. This is using IV sedation. Does this sound like a reasonable price? If not can anyone suggest an oral surgeon in the houston tx area?

That is probably about right for a big city. It's a little difficult to tell if you only say that they are impacted. It's probably high if they are soft tissue impacted, but not if they are full bony impacted. Oral surgery is expensive!
Reply:Hi there!

it's not a fair price to me, however, that is what I was quoted here in Nevada..I have no dental insurance, so..I don't know what to do..I believe many offices will, or should set you up on a payment plan..this way you can just send them a certain amount every 2 weeks, or every month until it's paid off...I hope that helped
Reply:tHAT WOULD BE ABOUT RIGHT IF EACH TOOTH COST ABOUT $300 TO EXTRACT WHICH IS ABOUT THE AVERAGE ($275 TO $350). $2800 divided by 8 = $350 . So if you're charged by the tooth you'd be gettin anesthesia FREE, but it seems to me you should be getting cut a break on 8 teeth!!! I'd think you could negociate with the dentist as insurance companies negociate!!! They' probably pay him: $1800 to $2100, maybe as much as $2300. So, tell him it's cash (even if you have to write yourself a CC check to get the cash -- then show him say: $2100 in green bills and say will you do it for this it's all I have"!!! If he knows you have a CC, just say it's burned out %26amp; $2100 is all you have in the world!!!

Make sure you pay that card off ASAP or use a no interset for 1 year card !!!!!!! And get it paid w/i a year !!!!!!!!! Have $175 from your checking paid automatically to your CC per month for 1 year and you'll save all that interest + you'll save $700 on the surgery!!! If he wont do it ask people to recommend a dentist -- some will take payment plans thru their own office!!!
Reply:Another alternative that you can use to save money for procedures, is a Provider Access Organization for your dental needs. I have a dental plan that is very affordable for my family. They have been around for 15 years and are the #1 Provider Access Organization in the U.S. It is only $19.95 for an entire household. But in your case, it would cost you $11.95 a month. There is no deductible or co-pay. Cosmetic procedures are covered. All specialists and braces. There are no caps or limits utilizing the benefits. The providers within the network are of high quality and value. Do your research at http://Stacie.OneSimpleCard.com and go to http://www.MyBenefitsPlus.com/40496082 . I hope this is helpful for you and your family.
