I am getting put to sleep. I am nervous. What can I expect afterwards? Will I be able to eat or drink anything?
I am getting my impacted sideways wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow. When will I start feeling better?
you'll pretty much be knocked out for the majority of the day you have them done.
I didnt experience any pain (had all 4 removed) but they give you pain medcine because of that.
I basically lived on soft foods like ice cream and apple sause for a few days. Prolly by day three you can eat small food that doesnt require a ton of chewing. Make sure not to do anything streneous for a day or two. By the third day I was out and about, took about a week to be fully fine.
Everyone always talks about how much it sucks, but being taken care of by my rents and being knocked out crazy for a few hours was GREAT.
I was telling the nurses I loved them and invited them to come home with us (i dont remember any of this, my mom said i kept saying things to the nurses and telling people i loved them).
Reply:in a few days it will stop wit medication
Reply:You will want to get some soft foods to eat for the first day or two. Yogurt, ice cream, milk shakes, jello, pudding, etc. Your mouth and face will swell up for the first day or two. And your jaw will feel like it is locked in place. This will subside after about 24 hours. Make sure you also have a supply of a pain reliever like Tylenol, Motrin, or Advil.
Reply:If none of your teeth are infected, you should have very little problems healing. My daughter had all 4 of her wisdom teeth taken out and by the end of a week, she was feeling pretty good. She was pretty sore for about 2 days. The doctor will give you specific instructions as to what you can and cannot eat and how to care for the surgical sites. Follow their directions and you will have very few problems. You will also be given pain killers and they do help. My daughter was given Darvocet and that helped her alot, though they did make her sleepy.
Reply:you should be fine within a week the first day is going to hurt really bad, but it will get better
Reply:As we told you a couple of weeks ago on your last question of this nature: It could be a couple of days or even up to two weeks. No you will not be able to eat afterward. You will be asleep and therefore not feel anything. You will be fine.
