Hello, i currently live in CA and need to get my bottom two impacted wisdom tooth removed. They seem to be under the gum line. After getting an estimate about the cost to remove them, it came to about $1700 co pay with 300 paid by insurance. Is that the usual amount?

Get a consult with another Oral Surgeon. An HMO and PPO works very different. Check around, that sounds very high for extraction of two teeth with insurance.
