Getting my wisdom teeth removed.....?

My husband is in the Army and our dental SUCKS. It is going to cost me about $900 to get my wisdom teeth removed and of course they don't offer a payment plan. So here is my question.....if I showed up at the ER and was in horrible pain with impacted wisdom teeth....would they have to treat me (remove them)?? Or do you think they would just give me pain meds and tell me to see my dentist??

They would probably give you pain meds and tell you to make an appointment with the dentist.

You could try a local college of dentistry, they often will have low cost procedures. The down side is the students get to the the procedure, but under supervision.
Reply:Probably give you meds and tell you to see a dentist. Never heard of an ER removing teeth.
Reply:I always thought as long as you get it done on base its cheap or free
Reply:They'll prob just give you pain meds. For payments, some dentists offer payment plans or dental credit cards. Or look for one with your credit card provider. I know Citi cards and Bank of America offers one. Or look for a dental college in your area. It cheaper and the work is great. Good luck!
